Robert E. Minkus
President


Bob Minkus founded Minkus & Associates in 1987 and has provided the firm with its leadership and vision. He is also responsible for the overall direction of the firm's creative efforts.

Not only does Bob's creativity inspire designers to push the envelope, his expertise and extensive background in both production and technology give him the acumen to provide clients with truly actionable, forward-thinking design solutions and innovations that work in the real world. Bob has personally directed and produced consumer-motivating package design for numerous Fortune 500 clients.

Bob has a B.S. in Professional Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Package Design Council, the American Center for Design, the American Institute of Graphic Artists and the Design Management Institute. He has lectured at several universities on the key role of package design in successfully marketing consumer goods and services.


Karen A. King
Vice President


Karen joined Minkus & Associates in 1992 and leads the firm's strategic efforts including market research and brand building. She is an expert at leveraging key consumer insights into successful package design.

Karen has over twelve years experience in consumer goods marketing including corporate positions with Pepsi Co/Frito-Lay and Kraft Foods, where she was a two-time recipient of the corporate leadership award. She is extremely well-versed in new product development, brand revitalization, consumer communication and marketing research. Her role is to bring marketing savvy and experience into the design process and ensure efficient, effective, and targeted design solutions.

Karen holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg school and is a frequent lecturer on marketing, consumer insights and strategic design.


David Van Schaick
Art Director


As the senior member of our creative team, David has been responsible for literally thousands of successful design projects cutting across all categories of Brand Design. His hallmark is his willingness to "try new things" and "to break the mold" in order to deliver on the objectives of the project.

David's brand design experience covers the full spectrum from corporate identity to package design. Adding to his design strengths is his technical knowledge of reproduction and printing processes that ensures that the end product delivers the promise of our design concepts.

David has a BFA in Graphic Arts from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
